Like the 3110, Nokia 3500 Classic comes with the bare minimum. USB cable and stereo kit are the only concessions made by the manufacturer. The headphones are basic to wish n'intègrent and unfortunately no 3.5mm jack, no remote control. The absence of the more regrettable is undoubtedly that of the memory card that is sorely lacking, especially given the quality of the MP3 player.

Design
Despite a classic piece design, the Nokia 3500 Classic displays touches of originality. First the colored backlight keyboard, in perfect harmony with the color of the casing. Your choice: pink, black, green, blue or red. All around the terminal is decorated with a metallic reinforcement of the most beautiful effect. The overall finish is very robust and mobile displays a great resistance to shocks. Side template, with dimensions of 45 x 107 x 13.1 mm and weighs 81 grams, the 3500 fits easily into all your pockets. Crane, nothing exceeds. The keyboard is flat and features large keys. A godsend for writing SMS. The screen is exceptionally bright for a model of entry and display 16 million pixels. Performance normally reserved for high-end handsets. Profiles from 3500 are devoid of the usual hot keys. Only the adjustment of volume is the rendezvous.
Use
Simple and intuitive, the platform of the S40 Nokia 3500 provides excellent navigation through the menus of the mobile. The different applications are easily accessible. Communication side, the two call buttons in the front are easily identifiable. The phone calls have a remarkable acoustics. The conversations are clear. Background noise pretty well soundproofed and the caller's voice remains intelligible even in the street. The more technical data such as sensitivity and autonomy are a bit disappointing. Indeed, initially on a terminal for communication, we expected outstanding performance. The results are mixed. The hook is suitable network in major cities and areas of good coverage. It will prove more laborious indoor. The battery is, in turn, well if you're not a big consumer telephony. A rate of 2 to 3 hours of calls per day, you'll overlook the charger for about 4 days. MP3 Player
The music function is undoubtedly the best feature of the Nokia 3500. Certainly, the mobile can replace your MP3 player, but it is a good backup option. The sound distilled by the speaker is convincing. If it is not advisable to take undue advantage of the volume at risk of seeing the first crackling, the general report is appropriate. The 3500 even has a 6-band equalizer (pop, rock, jazz, classic, Game 1, Game 2). The profiles do not change, unfortunately not enough noise to make them useful. For the playlist, the internal memory will prove soon enough. The only solution is to invest in a memory card format micro SD. We regret that Nokia has not had a good idea to provide one. The stereo kit is rather disappointing. Basic desire to, it includes neither remote nor standard jack. The sound is average and the earphones relatively unstable in the ear. One of the best solution is connecting a Bluetooth stereo headset.
Connectors
Terminal entry requires, the connection is not the highlight of the Nokia 3500 Classic. Indeed, only the Edge of the game. Internet connections will prove so little swift. Moreover, poor quality of the "browser" is not conducive to surfing. Only satisfactory option: link Yahoo! Go that lets you check your mailbox. The large number of settings is not necessarily synonymous with quality photo sensor. Indeed, the range of options we would have preferred the presence of AF. The latter would have provided a real contrast images that is sorely lacking. First and second terms coincide in a general sense of vague. The level of detail is a bit too tight for a transfer to computer is helpful. Ditto for printing paper that highlights the pixels. The colors are doing well, at least until the lighting conditions are optimal. When the brightness decreases, subjects and darken the blacks get too deep.
Video

Conclusion
Available for less than 150 € without subscription, the Nokia 3500 Classic has an excellent quality / price ratio. The design is attractive and durable finish. The music function is compelling. Too bad it is not backed by a good stereo kit and a memory card. Photography is disappointing, but will satisfy less demanding. We regret that the communication functions are not a little better on a device primarily intended for that purpose.
