Media Go function allows you to transfer, play and organize with ease its audio, photos, videos and podcasts from a PC via Wi-Fi Simply insert the mobile Aino on its charging cradle, and it will automatically synchronize with the PC.
The mobile Aino also benefits from a 3 inch screen and superb sound quality, thanks to wireless stereo headset MH100 and charging cradle EC100 that accompany it. This phone also offers a 8.1 megapixel camera and a flash.
Owner of a Playstation 3, you'll be thrilled! Aino the mobile access to multimedia content from the console, thanks to Remote Play function originally developed for the PSP. This access may be a local network at home or online anywhere in the world! And for the addicted to television, mobile service has Aino PlayTV. A wide range of free channels are then viewable and recordable!
The Aino is sold 350 €. An amazing price for a Sony Ericsson that exudes luxury. Besides its classy dress, the Aino offers high-end features: 8 megapixel camera, VGA camera, stereo headset, wireless Internet browser ... A quality Christmas gift.
For years, Sony Ericsson has produced high-end mobile particularly elegant at the forefront of innovation. But in late 2008 the manufacturer has suddenly lost his touch. After a long period of scarcity, Sony Ericsson revives this tradition with the Aino, a phone-shaped chocolate bar. The Aino has a large touch screen, which conceals a slide-out keyboard. The dress is beautiful Aino. It is unlike any other. The functions of Aino place him among the most talented mobile: advanced web browser, camera 8 mégapxiels, camcorder shooting in VGA resolution. The Aino stands out even with a wireless stereo headset used to play MP3. Face it, this phone has the dog! Manufactured by Sony Ericsson rare enough to be mentioned: the price of Aino is not prohibitive. It is trading around 350 € on the Internet outside the cabinet.
There remains the thorny problem of the interface. On this point, Sony Ericsson is awaited. Competition has made immense progress: menu-simple, ultra-complete functions. Unlike many competitors, Sony Ericsson has not played the Smartphone. The Aino can therefore not accept applications that make these famous charm of the iPhone, Android, and Windows Mobile. The Aino is it at least "touch"? Half only. Multimedia functions can be controlled finger on the screen, but the ordinary functions are controlled with buttons. That should reassure conservative users, and disappoint users looking for something new.

Appearance and Design
This is the main asset Aino: her dress looks charming. The Aino comes in two colors: white and black. The white hull is particularly elegant, understated and cool at once. The metal inserts painted an impression of luxury. We never tired of watching white dress Aino. Black the Aino is much more discreet. But its plastics are deep black, dull and dense. Much more flattering than black plastic flashy mobile competitors. White or black, the hull is nice to take charge. The materials are soft to the touch satin.
The Aino is rectangular, like most mobile touch. But his curled edges with taste. This beautiful object to be aging not too damaged, and stay long to look at.
The Aino is narrow (5 cm). Therefore: it is pleasant to learn, easy to slip into pocket. Its screen is big but not huge (3 inches). The standard size for a touchscreen mobile. Its keyboard slides very pleasant. The mechanical keys numbered 0 through 9 are fast enough. But they are too close together. Better to have the thumb compact, or very clever, otherwise click on two buttons at once.
Little originality, Aino comes with a USB cradle. Which recharges both the mobile and wireless remote. This base can be connected to the computer to synchronize the mobile via USB. This stand is stylish and relatively compact. But the setting seems fragile. He will take care of.
OS & Ergonomics
Most functions can be controlled with Aino buttons. We must therefore make the phone. Most of the time, the touch screen is totally disabled. We find the Sony Ericsson interface, clear and simple. Aficionados will appreciate the brand. Over forty years, users will be delighted to find their marks with ease. But this interface appears much less intuitive than an iPhone. And slightly less clear than that of the best 100% mobile HTC Touch and Samsung. It regrets in particular some smart shortcuts that only provide tactile interfaces.
The ability to zoom maps from Google Maps with two fingers. The ability to zap photos by dragging them. The opportunity to control the web browser without clicking any buttons. And most importantly, the ability to type text messages ultra-fast on the 26 keys of a keyboard. The user experience of the Aino is less clear, less intuitive. But do justice to its interface: it is pleasant. The menus are clear, logical, and reagents.
The surprise comes when the keyboard folds mechanical Aino. 100% touch screen interface makes its appearance. Exclusively dedicated to multimedia functions. An extremely refined interface, with which one can view the photo album more comfortably browse the bookstore MP3 zap radio, and control the camera. The screen is not "multitouch" farewell zoom with two fingers, the sensation of natural farewell swiping a perfect picture. But the interface is compelling.
Simple, nice and fluid. Only the MP3 player does not fully convince music lovers, who have thousands of MP3s. The titles appear five by five. Their scrolling takes too long. Impossible also to classify MP3 by Artist. Damage.
Side communication, Aino did nothing wrong. It is bristling with antennas: WiFi, A-GPS, 3G +, Edge, Bluetooth stereo. The Sony Ericsson comes with an 8GB memory card which will suffice for most users. It can store a thousand MP3s, while retaining plenty of space for photos and video. Note, Sony Ericsson has finally abandoned the memory sticks far too expensive. The manufacturer has fallen back on the standard MicroSD: a good choice.
Functions Multimedia (Camera / Video)
Sony Ericsson, tied with Samsung makes the best camera phones on the market. Aino The sensor features a high resolution 8 megapixel camera. This bodes the best.
Yet the result is mixed. Photos of the Aino are certainly very fine. We can print on A4 paper. But their colors are not always perfect. It is not uncommon for a dominant green, blue, or red appears in the picture. The Aino massive retouching photos for clarification. The shadows disappear in the process. The pictures are never dark, which should appeal to most users of Aino. But amateurs will find this too flashy editing. They rail against the elimination of shadows, which makes some pictures so pretty. Enthusiasts will also be disappointed by the paucity of controls. The image exposure is impossible to adjust. No Black and White mode. Please note, recording a snapshot takes five seconds is too long.

On the video side, however, Sony Ericsson made a big leap. The manufacturer has long sold in excellent mobile photography and video pretty bad. It is no longer the case. The Aino shoots in VGA resolution similar to that of a camcorder. The images are beautiful and thin, and relatively fluid. These little hop when filming moving. The Aino could almost replace a small camcorder.
Other functions (internet, MP3 player, WiFi, Bluetooth ...)
What MP3 player! The Aino comes with a remote Bluetooth wireless. This remote has a headphone jack. We can connect any headset. The remote also has a microphone. The phone stays in the pocket funds. One can hear his music in stereo wirelessly zap titles through integrated buttons, answer phone calls. And boost the volume a very original way, by sliding the finger on the side of the remote area with a very playful touch. Intelligently illuminates the remote when changing volume, and also when changing MP3. Magic!
The supplied headphones sink further into the ear canal: we hear more ambient noise, which can be dangerous. But suddenly, the bass is massive. Too massive even.
Fortunately, if you connect your own headphones into the jack, the sound becomes more natural, clearer, more balanced. Convincing enough money. As for the menus of the player, they are simple and clear. Provided bypass menus touch of Aino, deploying the phone.
The Aino does not read DivX. We must convert movies before transferring them to the Aino. The software takes care of synchronizing multimedia MEDIAGO. It is relatively easy to use, but much less comprehensive than iTunes. Podcasts manager, for example, shows only U.S. sources. Unable to search to find other podcasts. Only solution: enter the address manually. Note: the transfer of MP3 is slow: allow four minutes for ten MP3s. Sony Ericsson boasts the ability to synchronize the Aino in WiFi, but it's much less convenient than USB.
PS3 owners enjoy a bonus feature. They can access their remote console directly from the Aino. To do so, we must demand a password to Sony Ericsson, which will secure the connection, and update the Playstation. It then becomes possible to remotely wake up the Playstation, to access his videos, photos, MP3. When it connects, you'd better have a strong 3G connection or WiFi.
Listed GPS, Aino embeds an antenna A-GPS, which positions the mobile 15 meters outdoors and 500 meters near the indoors. It comes with Google Maps and navigation software in self test, Wisepilot.
Web side, the Aino is quite versatile. Navigation is much less comfortable than the iPhone, but it shows perfectly usable. The browser loads web pages faster. On the screen 432 x 240 pixels of Aino, the websites are almost all available fairly comfortably. Navigation is relatively fluid. One can easily zoom in on the paragraph that caught our attention.
The Aino is not the ultimate tool for read emails and respond. Missing a 26-key keyboard to type his letters quickly. But the software can read emails emails type@sfr.fr ou@free.fr relatively comfortably. The configuration of the email is semi-automatic. Handy.
The Aino can finally share photos and videos easily. You can create a photo gallery on Blogger.com very easily without even create a user account, since it Aino load alone. We therefore publish your photos in three clicks. It then receives the address of the photo blog via SMS. The Aino can also post photos on Picasa Web and Flickr, and videos via YouTube. The Facebook application touted by Sony Ericsson is not found. I bet she will appear in the next update of the Aino.
Conclusion (Plus Minus)
The battery of the Aino is a good day in intensive use. In use reasonable autonomy can mount up to three days. The sound quality of the Aino conversation is good.
The Aino is a great multimedia mobile, rather pleasant to use. The new Sony Ericsson is not, as an iPhone, a tool we always want to clear out of his pocket. But it costs two times less expensive and takes much better photos. The Aino is not such as Android, a tool ultra-adaptable to your specific needs. But it takes better pictures, and MP3 player is incomparably better than that of mobile Android. And emerges as the Aino extraordinary elegance, it sellotape almost all its competitors. We clip: this phone is really sold 350 € outside box? Sony Ericsson would he decided to break its rates in half? The Swedish-Japanese manufacturer back hard with what could be one of the best sellers this Christmas.
