Philips Fisio 311

Philips introduces its new range of mobile phones called: Fisio. The first model sold by the Dutch manufacturer is a telephone entry level: the Fisio 311.

This new series presents innovations especially as regards design. Philips has abandoned the narrow lines and long for a greater proportion between height and width. The length of the antenna is also reduced compared to previous models Philips.

The Fisio 311 is a portable lightweight (114 grams), and a surprisingly compact, offering a good grip of the device. The screen, high resolution graphics and is large and legible. Regarding the GUI, note the disappearance of the carousel menu so dear to the manufacturer the benefit of very large icons showing the different menu items.

The terminal has many functions for an entry-level phone: WAP browser (Phone.com), voice commands, voice dialing (5 locations), vibrator, T9 dictionary to write text messages, date, time and alarm clock, calculator and currency converter, stopwatch, 30 ring tones with the ability to download new SMS, the sending of graphical icons from a fifty available, 5 animated screensavers and a game (breakout).

We still regret the absence of an internal phone book (remember to choose a large memory SIM card). Finally a bonus: the battery, Ni-MH 670 mAh, allows an autonomy of 400 hours of standby (from the manufacturer) and from 4.30 in conversation.

The Fisio 311 is a dual band phone fairly complete as regards functions, and offering good value for money. Provided essential assets such as WAP, and voice commands, it is perfect for occasional use.
